Our Basketball leagues are focused on teaching basic fundamentals of the game including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense. The intention of this league is to introduce camaraderie and teamwork through basketball.  All Basketball leagues are coordinated by the St. John Paul II Athletic Committee.

We offer the following grade level basketball programs:
  • Pre-K (Itty Bitty)
    • This is an Intramural league
    • Games are played at St. John Paul II (St. Paul Campus Gym)
    • Games usually start around mid-January
    • Game days include 30 minutes of practice followed by a 30 minute game.
  • Kindergarten and 1/2 Grade Leagues
    • Teams play other deanery schools
    • Games are played at various deanery schools
    • Games usually start around mid-January
  • 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th Grade
    • These are Deanery level sports which include a tournament at the end of the season
    • Games usually start around the first of November
