Calling all coaches! JPII Knights Fall Sports season will be starting soon!
Our volunteer coaches are critical to the success of all of our athletic programs. You do not have to have a child playing basketball to be a coach. You might be a college student or grandparent that enjoys coaching youth sports. More JPII students and parishioners play basketball than any other sport, so we are calling on all interested volunteers to sign up to be a head coach or assistant coach. It is our goal to have coaches lined up by mid-September so that you have the opportunity to be involved in the evaluations and some open gyms. Grades 5 – 8 will start their season this fall, while Pre-K through grades 3 – 4 will get started during the winter.
Ready to volunteer? We appreciate your willingness to serve the parish. Even if you have coached JPII basketball previously, we need to hear from you. Send a brief email to [email protected] and include the following information:
- Your name
- Email and phone contact
- Grade level and gender you would like to coach (or state no preference)
- Coaching experience (none needed but if you have experience we would like to know)
- In a sentence or two, tell us why you would be a good fit as a head coach or assistant coach.
All head and assistant coaches must complete and be current with the Safe Parish program.
Athletes, look for news around open gyms and evaluations coming soon! All details will be posted on our JPII Athletics website and Facebook page. Questions? Contact [email protected]
